Of all my long laundry list of suspected TMS symptoms, the rib injury I have (ostensibly)from playing golf is the worst...For one thing, it just won't heal...For another, it's the hardest for me to accept as TMS given the circumstances surrounding it...

I've made progress with every other symptom since finding this forum, but the rib won't go away...Even the hamstring injury that I posted about a few days miraculously seems to be going away..

Here's my question...I stopped playing golf last October...I did not pick up a golf club till just a few weeks ago...After all that time the thing still hurts...Is it even possible to have an injury that won't heal after half a year? I've assumed it was the intercostal muscles which don't have a lot of blood supply and are notoriously slow healing, but six months is a very long time...

Would be appreciative of any comments..

A.

Not sure about the rib but it's like me with the wrist. I've gotten good control over the neck, back, legs, buttock. But that dang wrist WILL NOT give up its hold on me. It's pseudo carpal symptoms. TMS doc said it's TMS and not to worry. It still won't relent!

I've actually got two things that haven't gone away to my satisfaction...a knee which was diagnosed with patellar tendinitis...It's a tough one, although I've made progress with it the trigger event...increased mileagae and a different running shoe, plus the swelling and type of pain, make it very hard to accept as TMS...

The rib is even harder...

The two injuries that won't yield are also the ones I'm not accepting as TMS...Should tell me something, no?
