Yup, Yup,

After 15 miserable years and numerous arthroscopic procedures my wife had a full knee replacement last November and this issue was a major concern to all. She had blood thinner Injections and various CT scans in the Hospital. During the first month of recovery she was on a blood thinner. By the way the X-ray shows a very healthy looking knee; my wife had no gap between the Femur and Tibia.

She has done well and we nicked-named her Replacement “New Knee One”. She is scheduled to have “New Knee Two” replaced in 10 weeks. Like the article mentions she was subjected to this additional risk factor due to her age, she left it too long.

An article in MSN today titled “Older, heavier Americans fuel $4B knee replacement market” describes the effects of additional weight gain tied to people living longer.

Her courage facing a surgery of this magnitude and controversy is similar to confronting ones real TMS issues, as it’s complicated, emotional and very personal.
