For me the key to my success was understanding and distraction. That is, being absorved with something you really like to do, such as making music, or in my case, doing comedy sketches...
I would love to meditate, but I think that when you are watching a movie, or doing creating something, you are also meditating, in some way... |

It seems that you must be aware of being strained first to reach a deeper level of relaxation. Watching a movie etc in general you are unaware of your level of strain. |

I rephrase. I was talking about movies such as 2001 from Kubrik, or David Lynch movies. I also love sci-fi movies, such as Space1999. The rithm was more slow. Watching old Sci-Fi movies is very relaxing to me. Here, where I live, we have the Zen TV channel... I also used to watch relaxation DVDs with fire footage, nature, beacthes, etc... |

Filipe, Mediation has changed my life. In my mind, any activity that makes you happy and relaxes you is positive. That said, when we distract ourselves and don;t deal with and process our issues, that is the other side of the coin.

Filipe, In my mind Prayer and meditation are synonymous.
