gik25, I'm very sorry to hear about your father's stroke.
Unfortunately, I think you may have confused this TMS forum for another type of therapy. "TMS" in this instance stands for Tension Myositis Syndrome which is more like a cognitive-behavioral type of therapy for chronic pain conditions which are not primarily physical-based (unlike with a stroke).
I do wish your father continued recovery.

Hi gik25,
It's a common mistake, they have the same acronym. Good luck with your Dad, maybe Dr. Sarno's "TMS" can help you deal with the emotional aspects from the stress of your Dad's medical situation, and maybe helpful for your Dad once he recovers. It's GOOD STUFF and it's free, or just the price for a book.
