Again, medical research focused on how chronic pain causes behavior changes. Again, medical research considering chronic pain as a symptom that needs to be treated, with no regard for what causes the chronic pain in the first place. In this particular study, they actually injure the mice to cause the pain. The assumption here is that humans experiencing chronic pain must be "injured" and the goal is to treat psychological changes that are a by-product of the pain. Again, medical research failing to consider that the origin of the pain might be psychological to begin with.
