Glad to see you're still checking in here Ace1. I believe you're and oncologist, many here get wigged out by the mention of the word CANCER--as well they should as it's a pretty serious thing. I believe Dr. Sarno and SteveO mention that cancer may be TMS. This would be a broad view of what constitutes TMS which I share. A couple of questions if you could be so kind to answer:
Do you as an oncologist agree that cancer may be TMS?
Do you recommend the books by Dr. Bernie Siegel treating cancer with complementary mindbody methods?
Do you use TMS in your practice to treat cancer in conjunction with conventional current allopathic treatment methods?
Thanks for the consideration of a reply, tt

Hi tom Yes I think cancer is a more severe form of TMS. I never read Bernie Siegel's book but I heard its of a very superficial nature. I try to use TMS treatment in my practice but to be honest, I cannot devote enough time for it to be really effective. I also think it is very hard to reverse out of cancer and therefore it would take a very dedicated individual. Even then I think a lot may fail. I think in order to free someone of the cancer I think they have to get rid of all of their chronic symptoms first using the TMS model. They also have to get rid of the obsession of cancer and not let the diagnosis of cancer consume them. Out of hundreds and hundreds that I have treated there is only one case in my experience where the person has recovered due to the mind body connection. There are many cases however were their cancer becomes very slow growing and they wind up dying of something else. These people don't fix the strain in their lives, but don't seem to care much about their cancer for various reasons. |

Hi Tom - I have taking DCA for a while now for leukemia (cll). I recently increased the dose, and my white blood cell count dropped 25%. I am much closer to a normal count than a year ago. There are a few naturopaths and 1 medical doctor that I know of that are giving iv dca. If you google dca, there is a lot of info on it. I may have got this from a tms related cause, but it did not respond to tms type treatment. A researcher in Edmonton Canada began experimenting with it, so it may be more available here tha in the USA. |

Good luck with your recovery AlTR! As Ace1 and Dr. Sarno say, cancer can be a tough TMS equivalent. Have you been using any TMS/complementary mindbody techniques in your battle? Are you familiar with the books on cancer by Dr. Bernie Siegel?
Good Luck, tt |

Yes, I have read some of his books and found them helpful. But, I didn't seem to get a "book cure" like I did for back pain. Maybe it takes a longer time to manifest, and longer to go away. I had an annual checkup today, my doctor was surprised to see my test results, and said she would look into dca. She understood that it "wakes up" the mitochondria. I don't understand it, but am happy with the results. My test data is what it was when first diagnosed 6 years ago. Normally, it continues to creep up until you eventually croak from it. |
