So I've just started a new exercise routine that involves a lot of intense jumping and squatting. I also started back doing a lot more cardio and running.
Well, basically I have developed this sharp pain on the outside of my knee. It doesn't hurt all the time, mainly when going up and down stairs. I can do most stuff with little pain, but running has starting irritating it and going down stairs is pretty excruciating.
I don't recall injuring it, it just kind of came up gradually. Anyways, what would be your advice? Is this most likely TMS or maybe some kind of real injury?
I experienced knee pain from starting to sit deep during table tennis practice. I couldn't climb the stairs for two days after. I kept training though and every week the after-symptoms were less than the week before. Nowadays I rarely have knee pain after practice. Give it time, don't overdo it but also don't let it stop you. take care
