I just got back from a contentious legal situation in England, in which I was attacked by people speaking "for" several dead family members, including my own father. Just saying this because it might indicate a spot of stress.
I've been mentally, consciously, okay, but have had a few symptoms along with jetlag (if even that is real!) since getting back. One symptom I experienced this afternoon was my whole body burning as though I have been steeped in acid. I haven't had this one for a long time. I kind of drifted to the computer, and - arrrgh! - GOOGLED THE SYMPTOM (I know, I know, it's a "slip!"). ;-)
But no, I was not to receive any explanation of this symptom (I was thinking perhaps it would be something like "acidity"). What I got to was a clear diagnosis that this is anxiety, and I was forced to take an anxiety quiz which was a lot like listening to Claire Weekes.

Yep - wide spread paresthesia (burning) is a definite symptom of anxiety and stress. It can also be caused by drugs and withdrawal.
And the burning is actually activating the neurons that cause muscle tension. What most people don’t understand is that while not all muscles interconnect the fascia does, and it extends from your head to toes. It is a tough fibrous tissue that can cause extreme pain and then set off pain and tension the muscle group is encases.
