I'm not going to do a review of it. Maybe Shawn will when he comes back.
But this book is really really good--really!
Put in your e-mail and get the book FREE, 58 pages, but not dense, lots of white space, a quick read.

I have it already and I totally agree with you, Sylvia: really great stuff about mind-body-healing, she really knows what she's talking about!
Kind regards from Germany sends Birdie |

You must be from where I got the website from. She does have some useful tools. A kinder gentler way. |

I like her mind training (Mind Whispering) using the example of Ceser Milan the Dog Whisperer. And treating your mind thusly.
Be a strong calm presence for you mind. Give your mind the jobs you want it to do by gently leading. And then she gives like a dozen examples.
As a person, in her writing and her video she does seem to be super honest and authentic. She had some serious pain issues and DOES credit Dr. Sarno.
I like her acronym HEAR Help your mind Mind Whispering Experience emotions What Am I Feeling Now Allow relaxation Releasing Tension Recognize inner wisdom Drawing On Your Inner Wisdom
Then her book elaborates on these four components. In her video she likens it to the four strings of a violin. And playing the song of you. Which is a useful video methinks. Maybe too girly for guys, but TMS is all but dominated by guys---ya ever notice that? It is great to have a book from someone who is a complete Creative/Artist type with a TMS perspective.
I like her! I like Nicole Saches too! GIRL POWER!!!!

Sylvia, thanks for the recommendation. I'm always up for a good read, especially when free and available electronically! I'm over halfway through the book now and enjoying it. I always like seeing how someone provides insight from yet another perspective. Some speak to you more powerfully than others, but there's something to be learned from everyone. By the way, I'm a guy but like this author and Nicole as well |

Finished the book. Easy reading but good stuff. I like the part about asking yourself "what am I feeling" and doing it both as prescriptive medicine when you are experiencing pain and as preventive medicine on a regular, recurring basis even when not feeling pain.
Also, I think this quick read would probably be easier to share with someone you think has TMS. I have loaned out my Sarno books to quite a few people that I'm sure have TMS but don't get much feedback. I think they just aren't looking for the solution yet and me giving them a book which they interpret as saying they have a problem isn't something they are going to read with an open mind. Anyway, this book doesn't have that same feel to it and I expect that even if someone isn't looking for a solution they may still be inclined to read it with an open mind if you offered it to them.
Thanks again Sylvia for sharing. |
