There is a very good video that I think is relevant to TMS which is - You can heal your life by Louise Hay. The extended version movie, not the book. Maybe Shawn can find it for us for free on line. |

I just finished watching this movie. It has an incredibly uplifting and positive message. I hope everyone on this forum takes the time to watch it. Thanks for drawing this to our attention, Ace!

Im glad you liked it. IT is awesome and I like to see it again from time to time. Did you all notice that she developed cancer after she became a spiritual teacher? This is an important point, that your body will tell you if you are doing it right or not. She was able to cure herself of this aliment recognizing she had more work to do. Someone else would have said, well cancer cannot therefore be related and thus there is nothing more I can do, afterall I am a spiritual teacher. |

Did you also notice that she still experiences back pain and attributes it to laying down the wrong way? Interesting..... |

Wow good catch Shawn. I haven't seen the video lately and just dont recall that part. I will watch it again soon and tell you what I think. I think she also mentions foot reflexology as part of her cancer cure, but I think that part is just placebo. |

ABUNDANCE -- From Ekhart Tolle "A New Earth"
Who you think you are is also intimately connected with how you see yourself treated by others. Many people complain that others do not treat them well enough. “I don't get any respect, attention, recognition, acknowledgment,” they say. “I'm being taken for granted.” When people are kind, they suspect hidden motives. “Others want to manipulate me, take advantage of me. Nobody loves me.”
Who they think they are is this: “I am a needy 'little me' whose needs are not being met.” This basic misperception of who they are creates dysfunction in all their relationships. They believe they have nothing to give and that the world or other people are withholding from them what they need. Their entire reality is based on an illusory sense of who they are. It sabotages situations, mar all relationships. If the thought of lack – whether it be money, recognition, or love – has become part of who you think you are, you will always experience lack. Rather than acknowledge the good that is already in your life, all you see is lack. Acknowledging the good that is already in your life is the foundation for all abundance. The fact is: Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you are withholding from the world. You are withholding it because deep down you think you are small and that you have nothing to give.
Try this for a couple of weeks and see how it changes your reality: Whatever you think people are withholding from you praise, appreciation, assistance, loving care, and so on – give it to them. You don't have it? Just act as if you had it, and it will come. Then, soon after you start giving, you will start receiving. You cannot receive what you don't give. Outflow determines inflow. Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you already have, but unless you allow it to flow out, you won't even know that you have it. This includes abundance. The law that outflow determines inflow is expressed by Jesus in this powerful image: “Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.”
The source of all abundance is not outside you. It is part of who you are. However, start by acknowledging and recognizing abundance without.
See the fullness of life all around you. The warmth of the sun on your skin, the display of magnificent flowers outside a florist's shop, biting into a succulent fruit, or getting soaked in an abundance of water falling from the sky. The fullness of life is there at every step. The acknowledgment of that abundance that is all around you awakens the dormant abundance within.
Then let it flow out. When you smile at a a stranger, there is already a minute outflow of energy. You become a giver. Ask yourself often: “What can I give here; how can I be of service to this person, this situation.” You don't need to own anything to feel abundant, although if you feel abundant consistently things will almost certainly come to you. Abundance comes only to those who already have it. It sounds almost unfair, but of course it isn't.
It is a universal law. Both abundance and scarcity are inner states that manifest as your reality. Jesus puts it like this: “For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

Yes Sam that is the point, if you think you understand everything, but yet you still have an ailment, then you really don't understand at all. This means its time to reassess. |

Hi Shawn and Ace,
Thanks for this video from Louise Hay. I have not been viewing the Forum lately, but I also watched the video - all 1-1/2 hours of it! Had I watched this a year ago I would not have been very receptive to it, so I can tout some success in openness to new ideas. Incredible though it might seem In the past I had never considered we have the ability to change the way we think, and it was Wavy Soul’s post last year, “You have to change” that revealed to me that this was possible - thanks Wavy. The contents are very much in keeping with TMS theory and discussions we see here on the forum, and many of the messages reiterate much of what I have read here since joining last February. Most of the segments contained simple little statements and advice, and many testimonies of how people have the power to change the way they think.
Her message was represented by a woman on a journey with negative chatter going on in her head; she was pretty much a nervous wreck. She was as Ace describes: "revved up with life’s troubles". Then she picks up a dropped affirmation card with “I am willing to change” on the front page. The movie has a wonderful romantic ending and I jokingly said to my wife: “It’s a chick movie”.
I liked Louise’s own story. Did you notice she spoke of her experiences with her ex- husband in positive light which shows forgiveness and acceptance of her past? She reminded me of the Grandmother and Mother I never had, with words of wisdom and encouragement that reflect a person that is truly happy with them self and at peace.
Hi to new posters eliuri, amissive,Brooklynn, lia and others. Watch this video it’s very calming.
So I’ll end with one of the quotes from this video that describe me well and took my fancy was:
“I’m like a normal person, a little bit messed up”.
The question is: "Are all normal people a little bit messed up"?

Ace1 and Shawn, I snuggled in bed this afternoon and watched this video. It really is a beautiful gift and I'd encourage everyone here to invest some time in the viewing of something that may very well help you heal your life.
I begin anew. Right here. Right now.
Special thanks to you Shawn, with love. |
