Regardless of what Plum decides -- and we will leave it up to her -- I feel it is important that we support one another in our efforts so that we don't get overly discouraged.
In my humble opinion ACE1 sent out a significant nocebo by saying it may take years to recover for some people, but we don't have to listen to that nocebo at all because we will all heal at our own individual rate. No doctor can say with certainty how long it will take to heal, so let's send out positive energy to one another that our recovery will be both speedy and lasting. |

Shawn, you just rocked my world.
For better or worse this small place is an oasis and a community, and there is love and friendship here. That's all we need and all we have ever needed.

Hi Shawn.
Like I have maintained before i have to say healing is a spectrum. No one wakes up one day and exclaims "I'm cured". So is someone going to be better faster than years? Of course. The truth is what I try to speak of even if it is not the answer that will satisfy most. I have to set realistic expectations so one knows "oh this is normal". Imagine I gave you an untruth and told you you would be cured in 2 months. One of two things would happen. Either you would have a placebo cure which never lasts, or shifts maybe even internally or you would be so frustrated that you are not there yet. It took me years to understand what I wrote in the keys and I am not to the ultimate place where I want to be yet although I would be called "cured" by dr sarnos standards. I'm glad your so open in your thoughts Shawn as it does bring out important points to the light so we can talk about it. Don't worry, I won't steer you wrong. I maintain that if you put any of the keys to the test you will see that they hold up. This is actually what I want you to do bc if you see it for yourself, it helps you to accept it which helps you to heal. |

| Perhaps it's better to consider healing in terms of depth not time. When? is never a good question, it builds in too much pressure and expectancy. I beat myself up badly over this and guess what, it didn't help at all. God knows if there's an overnight healing circling I'll take it but the costs would be high. Generally I find this kind of talk annoying but pain is a gift, it gives us back to ourselves so beautifully. |
