When I read an article in a magazine about the functioning of the brains, I had the idea to do more investigation at the internet.
This brought me to an interesting article. Check the link.

Maby it's a good idea to collect all interesting articles about the brain and emotions, that are found by members of the forum, in this topic.

Thanks for the link Barry. That was a well-written article. I have nothing in terms of links to offer, but I've been reading Quantum Healing by Deepak Chopra, which is one of the best books I've seen yet on the mind-body connection. Recommended to all.

Great article.....too few have been written, and they are usually "special interest" articles that suggest a possibility, rather than heralds of new methods.

My only concern is they are written from the point of view of "Look...this is an interesting idea" rather than "Hey...people...wake UP! this is the Gospel truth!!"

So many of my friends acknowledge their pain is emotionally/psychologically related....and than run out to the chiropractor.

Love it though...I agree...we should keep a "Library" of these.

Excellent

peace

Hopefully there will be a lot more research in psychosomatic medicine. Some doctors are optimistic about that:

Wow! That New Scientist article provoked a lot of angry responses from people with CFS and fibromyalgia! Look at the comments below the article. They are infuriated at any suggestion that there is a psychological component to their illness. Reminds me of Sarno's comment that most patients are resistant to a diagnosis of psychosomatic cause.

Yes, and the guy says he gets "hate mail."

I can understand why, because until I actually read Sarno, I was infuriated for years by people who said this stuff. I was already feeling so invalidated and unless someone could actually help me, I wanted to kill them if they said my pain and illness weren't real.

I think we all come across this same feeling from friends we try to "convert." No?

i read that article about simon wessely as well. Really interesting stuff. It's so frustrating though, at how long it takes to get through to people and how resistant they are. I know why it is because i was resistant for such a long time, but once you've got it it all seems so blindingly obvious you can't believe anyone would ever deny it!

Barry would you refresh that link, for some reason it doesn't open for me. Thanks again for posting the article, I think it would be wonderful to add all of such clips in one place like the Wiki.

Thanks again.
