Thanks Shawn,

This has to be for our TT. Tom I guess you drifted away from the idea?

That was funny, I'm not do'in anything radical like getting a zebra's hip until at least after I finish SteveO's book. There's two broads bitchin' in the hot-tub about their unsuccessful joint surgeries. One's mad because she says the doc gave her a man's knee, the other dislocated her new hip and needed a revision because she got a little irrationally exuberant too soon afterwards. She told me, "Don't do it, it changes your life."--no way Jose'.

I can tell you my 58 yr old sister in-law had a hip replacement due to avascular necrosis and she thanks her lucky stars for the surgery, as it has improved her quality of living 10 fold. Interesting, after reading Sarno I understand the pain we feel in our bodies is due to lack of blood flow to certain muscles. The necrosis of the hip due to severe lack of blood flow, this is one of his main tenants as to why pain occurs in the first place.

The discomfort is not 100 % gone, but it is a different type of discomfort/sensation she experiences. However, she is acclimating to her new hardware. She would benefit from the teachings of Sarno but she doesn't see the mind body connection. What is your hip diagnosis ?
