Hi all,
It's been awhile since I last posted but I am an official Sarno patient and want to know your thoughts on a situation.

I have been pain free for about 4 years now. With little things here and there but nothing that sets my life off course.

In the beginning of Feb I had thought i got something in my eye. I was tearing uncontrollably and it felt like something was still in my right eye.

Three days later I go to an eye doctor because I cant see anything in my eye and maybe he can dig in and look. Lo and behold he tells me I have "viral pink eye" and that it just needs to take its course. That the drops he is rx for me wont cure it but will just help the symptoms. He said its a "nasty form that will get worst before it gets better and that it needs time and take the eye drops until they finish".

I take the drops and of course in two days the feeling of something in my right eye is gone. I check my eyes often and there is nothing pink about them. Not even red! I get a little discharge in the morning but nothing bad.

Towards the end of my course with the eye drops I develop mid back pain and in a day its gone. A week later I experience wisdom tooth pain. I go to the dentist and he tells me there is a slight infection but all that needs to be done is a cleaning because I will continue to experience pain. NOW after he said that my pain went away within a day. He didnt even clean my teeth yet? As the pain goes away in my teeth the eye symptoms start again but now I am finally done with the drops.

As far as my eyes go. They are never red or pink. They both tear in the early morning but as far as discomfort. Sometimes both eyes act up sometimes one and the experience is never the same. Sometimes itching, dry feeling, or somethings in it but never consistent. I have even have breaks during the day where it doesn't bother me.

I found out one of my co workers had pink eye that is lasting him awhile but his symptoms are totally different from mine! His eyes are shut and really red! I stay away from him and clean my hands of course.

But what gives? Is this a manifestation of TMS? I called Dr Sarnos office and he cant get back to me until next week. I am afraid to go back to the eye doctor because he might tell me something worst. As far as my eyes go everything is fine, sight, pressure dr said I was otherwise healthy. Its been about two months.

I will admit alot has happened within the last two years, divorce, death grandmother and dog, girlfriend, new house.

I am just scared because this is different and Sarno only mentions pink eye when it comes to things relating to allergy.

Anyway I must also admit. When I had my back and rib pains I felt the same way.

Hi ilan,

Sounds like your original viral infection cleared up pretty quickly and what you have now is residual "pain memory". Since the regional pain is moving around and not steady, TMS is playing games with you. Your brain has a memory of the eye incident and keeps re-playing it back for you as a distration. So long as your doc has again given you a clean bill of helath you can opt to treat it for TMS. I have al kinds of wierd tooth related pain that comes and goes, and have been seen by 2 dentists and an endodontist, they all scratch their heads. Pay no attention to your co-worker's condition only from the point of view that you are using _their_ condition as a distration.

Take care, -Stryder
