Is this actually TMS at play? I believe it is, but I've been wrong before.

TMS is funny. I've recently been working on getting over the conditioning that causes me to feel tightness and discomfort whenever I stand up. I've been doing so by purposely standing up quickly as opposed to the old careful slow way. Last night I did this one time and felt dizzy. After sitting down again, I told my mind: "I don't care if you make me feel dizzy, I'm still going to stand up quickly." Then a moment later my right knee started to hurt. I got concerned for a moment but then told my mind: "I don't care if you hurt my knee, I'm still going to stand up quickly." The knee pain subsided, but a moment later my left foot started to hurt. Once again I told my mind: "I don't care if you hurt my foot or anything else, I'm still going to stand up fast." I did so and none of these things hurt. This all took place within a short period of time.

Sounds like your TMS is on the run because you won't put up with the charade any longer....What you were describing was TMS symptom substitution....I suppose that Sarno would say that your mind keeps changing body sites for the pain hoping to sucker you back into thinking that it's really a physical problem so it can keep distracting you from your repressed emotions.
