I first want to thank the webmaster for approving my account. I've tried several times in the last 6 months to register but it never worked. So, I feel like I know so many of you as I read the forum quite often.
I've read Sarno's book that help me cure TMJ, Carpal Tunnel, low back pain off and on. So I believe in TMS. But I'm still suffering from excruciating and debilitating pelvic pain that prevents me from walking more than 3 minutes without having to sit down. I've literally been housebound for almost 2 years. The reason why I believe I still suffer this pain is because I had near 8lb calcified tumor removed 6 weeks ago. So, I've always blamed my pelvic pain on the tumor. Now that the tumor is gone and I'm still in the same exact pain, I have to wonder if it is TMS. But then another part of me wonders if the tumor did some nerve damage. I also was under tremendous stress from being treated as nothing but a drug seeker from doctors. It's so unbelievably hard to have that much pain and have a doctor literally walk out of the room and say "sorry nothing I can do to help you". I do not have insurance so I had to endure the rude, demeaning and invalidating treatment by numerous doctors. I ended up buying vicodin 10mg off the street for 6 months. I finally was issued a doctor that I told everything too, she then prescribed me percocet 10. It did help a lot with the pain. So, after waiting almost 2 years for surgery, it finally happened Sept 27th. I was then given oxycontin 80 and dialudid for post surgery pain because I had built up such a tolerance. I'm told everything looked fine, but I have a hard time trusting my doctors because now they just want rid of me.
I'm not sure what to do or where to go from here. I'm afraid my doctor won't continue to prescribe me my pain medication which will leave me in a lot of pain and then withdrawals, which I've been reading is withdrawals as bad as heroin. So, of course this is causing me so much stress and anxiety which is making the pain worse.
As anyone here gone through pelvic pain to where they couldn't walk and put TMS technique to work and recovered? I'm just looking for hope, sometimes that is all one needs to get on the road to recovery.
So glad to be here and look forward to responses.
Thanks, Taylor |

WOW! What a first post! Sorry to hear about the hell you've been going through, but you've managed to retain a positive and good attitude.
The first thing I would do is see a TMS doctor who can diagnose what is "mind" and what is "body" and their interactions. Below are several lists of TMS doctors and practitioners, hopefully one is near you.
Best Wishes, tt

Here's the TMS practitioners list from the TMS Help Forum: http://www.tmshelp.com/links.htm

Hi Tom,
Thanks so much for the response. Unfortunately, that's not an option as I don't have insurance and I am maxed out, near foreclosure from existing medical bills. What a blessing it would be to be under the care of a TMS doctor though. I'm trying to get on a government program that provides PPO insurance to high risk people. So, I'm crossing my fingers and then a TMS doctor would be the first place I'd go.
Warm Regards, Taylor |

Sorry to hear that Taylor, but if you have a TMS doctor or practitioner in your area, I would do whatever it takes to get a one time consultation, to see if it's TMS. Do you have a TMS doctor in your area? |

Hi Tom,
There is one about an hour away, San Francisco. I've emailed the doctor for information including pricing. I've been contemplating just letting my doctor/hospital bills go for now, perhaps even filing bankruptcy, they didn't help much anyway LOL! I know that sound horrible, but last year they performed an open abdominal surgery, I was having excruciating stomach pain. They removed my perfectly normal appendix, left in my gargantuan tumor and come to find out it was a very small hernia and a loop of bowel was getting incarcerated. So, they gave me a band to put around my stomach to stop that. Which of course, having a basket ball sized tumor, that was very uncomfortable. That hospital has just put me through hell. So, I feel like it's more important to put money towards a doctor that I know can help, instead of paying my tormentors lol.
Thanks, Taylor |

I don't know about California, but in my state you can arrange with the hospital at least to pay a little at a time, and it can keep the bill collectors from the door. This is what I did. Here, even if you tell them $10 per month, and they agree, the bill hounds will be at bay. The doctors are another story, but maybe if you talk to them individually.
