Hey everyone, so I just receive an email from an si joint dysfunction site... it couldn't of come at worse time as this week I have been doubting the tms diagnosis, even though I had 4 days when the pain subsided in my back but gave me heart palpatations instead. The email read as a list of my symptoms, what made the pain worse I.e walking and standing in one place... and just to completely turn me and the tms on the head si joint dysfunction won't show up on xray or mri... I don't want to doubt the tms diagnosis, it makes sense and I believe it, I've had nothing but one problem after another with my health and this makes sense.. this is the key.
I'm thinking that I need to get back to exericise, to the gym, but to be honest I'm terrified .. I'm scared my back will go into spasm as it has before, and I'm scared that I won't follow through... any advice from tmser pro's ? ;)
This to shall pass.... |

From Dr. John Sarno's "THE DIVIDED MIND":
Chapter Ten: "A Family Doctor's Experience With Mindbody Medicine" by Marc Sopher, M.D.
Page 350:
"RESUME ACTIVITY
You are not really well until you are back doing the activities you formerly enjoyed. While you may have to start slowly (it is still necessary to follow appropriate guidelines for exercise training), you should be able to do whatever you want. We are capable of far more than we have been told. I think very few of us approach our potential because we have been misinformed about the limits of our bodies. I have patients in their sixties, seventies, and eighties running marathons, bicycling across the country, climbing mountains, and participating in other strenuous activities. They are not supermen and superwomen; they are simply folks who have taken good care of themselves and refuse to believe that they are fragile."

hb, why not chat to Dr Straiton about it?
If you're terrified of doing exercise, just start off very gently.
If you're free on 30th Jan, and are anywhere near London, do come along to the TMS meetup. Hopefully there'll be a couple of back pain recoverers there.
