I was just diagnosed with PVD of the eye. The doctor siad no tennis for 6 weeks but I can play golf. My question is could this be a symptom of TMS. I might have to close my business at the end of next week and right now have no future plans.

Hi Carol, I have this in both eyes with one eye going to a retinal detachment. I would guess your doctor is trying to prevent that by limiting your activities until your eye heals. It is common for the other eye to detach as mine did. The incidents were about 10 months apart. Be sure to keep checking it to make sure the retina doesn't go ahead and tear. I truly don't believe it has anything to do with tms. I questioned my surgeon intensly as it happened to me in a time of great stress. He assured me it was the shape of my eye changing and pulling at the vitrious. The floaters are a real bummer, but they do get fainter with time. The whole thing is extremely disconcerting ,but like everything in life, you get used to it.The more you pay attention to the floaters, the more you notice them. You kinda learn to look thru them. Hope this helps. Susie
