I've been a TMS patient since July (ish) and have been through a tornado of funky pain episodes (hip pain, sciatica, wrist-forearm pain, terrible shoulder pain, etc) which I have mostly resolved. I ordered "unlearning your pain" to motivate me to get through any funny pain once and for all. Now I've learned that dry/red eyes can def. be TMS. I believe I started noticing this back in Junior High (I'm 24 now) and never really worried about it. Highschool came and I became very upset and self-concious about it because everyone thought I was a huge pothead when I've never tried it in my life! People would joke around, even friends would "call me out" in class just to embarrass me. Obviously I was really upset about it and found an eyedrop (Opcon-A) that takes care of the job pretty well for the most part, but I've been using it chronically for 7 years or so, I have become addicted to it to keep my eyes looking somewhat normal and have now found out that it can be damaging to the eye and yada yada yada. My eyes do seem to "act up" at certain times. Whenever I'm in a store for too long or in school they will dry up pretty bad. My eyes LOVE cool air and being in the fresh air. I noticed when I did a body cleanse I did not need to install the drops NEARLY as much as before it. I got checked for food and airborne allergies through the latest in allergy treatment (advanced allergy thereautics) and is more accurate than blood tests so I know what I'm sensitive too, this also CURES the condition, not treat it. Nothing airborne and a few foods but do not recall at the moment. I'm wondering if this could be the earliest sign of TMS dating back to Junior High. I remember always being a nervous worrisome type, also a little self-conscious. It also seems to run in the family a bit. My dad is the extremely worrisome type and his eyes are red often, yet my brother doesn't carry that trait all to much and his eyes seem to be whiter most of the time. I changed the way I thought about stuff along time ago and quit all the worrying and being anxious and nervous stuff but I'm sure its still in me a bit. I'm just worried now if this is TMS that my eyes still wont clear up good because of the chemicals it has depended on for so long. I notice that the visible eye gets rid, as well as the part underneath my bottom eyelid, but NOT the eye underneath the top eyelid. Any input? Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Personally I think the body has remarkable capacity to heal if you allow it. By worrying about this and dwelling on specifics you're just giving the TMS another excuse...
