I don't suffer from twitching but have some other odd symptoms. What interests me about your post is that you say that it seems to be worse when you're stressed. The weirdest thing that happens to me is that sometimes my legs, arms or even jaw will circle. Yup, they want to move in circles. And this does seem to happen more or faster when I'm feeling stressed or trying to get in touch with painful past emotions. For what it's worth an "energy psychologist" I know told me that it's probably some sort of "energy release". In other words, he viewed it as a positive thing. Anyway, I can understand that it would probably be annoying. Probably more so than circling :)

Hi There,

Yes, twitching eyelid and twitching beneath my eye sufferer here! It has been a TMS symptom that comes and goes... right now it is gone and I am happy about that! A year ago it lasted for a month and 4 months ago it lasted for another month.

My doctor who is quite unique and interested in all kinds of alternative therapies gave me a 'bandaid' approach to the twitching: I was to take large quantities of real food calcium tablets each day. The supplement maker is Standard Process and their calcium is not synthetic but food and plant based only. I took 9/day until the twitching stopped. The calcium helped the nerves to stop the pattern of spasming.

Now, some may not agree with me for taking the calcium for I know the twitching was TMS. However, even though I still do all the 'work' when overcoming TMS related issues I still will use bandaids to help get me over the hump at times.

I have had an eyelid twitch for the best part of 3 years....it is mainly one sided but has been known to come out to play on both sides at times.

If you ever want confirmation that you are suffering from stress and\or physical anxiety then an eyelid twitch is your rubber stamp!!

Hi,

Do you know if the calcium and magnesium is real food? I had to take an awful lot for about 10 days before my nerves settled down. But then again, it could have been a placebo affect! Dr. Schubiner told me that it is very rare to be so deficient in calcium or magnesium that it would cause nerve twitching. He said if one were to be that deficient they would have a host of physical problems. Dr. Schubiner told me for certain the twitching is MBS; or TMS... Dr. Schubiner always says MBS. :)

I struggled with the twitching in the eyelid but also with restless leg syndrome which again Dr. Schubiner said is for certain MBS/TMS. He told me to right before bed write down anything that was weighing on me and visualize putting the stressors on a shelf. Then tell my brain I do not have to solve any of those problems right now and I am free to sleep soundly. I do that along with visualizing the nerves relaxing while I do deep breathing.

Hope you feel better soon!

I empathize with you! I had left eyelid twitching on and off for months too..I blamed it on tightness in my upper cervical spine..I'm sure it's another manifestation of TMS! It's very annoying though!
