hi im new to the forum, hers my list:
prostatits
rectal tightness
yellow stool
ibs-d
migraines
sinusitis
recent weight loss
stress
anxiety disorder
ocd
black circles under eyes

theres many more, my question is has anybody experienced these at once or separately, its ruling my life/marriage-ive read the divided mind--the yellow stool scares me though-been going on for 3 months now, can weight loss and yellow stool be anxiety/tms??
rx tests are perfect
thanx

Have a complete physical exam to rule out any serious illness.
Do not assume everything is TMS.
Ask a medical professional . They will be able to tell you what is wrong. If you are having yellow stools and are loosing weight I would not ignore that.
There are some TMS equivalents that need medication. I have high blood pressure and would not ever stop taking my medication.
No one on this forum can diagnosis your problems.

If you want to approach this from a TMS perspective, make a list of emotional issues that are causing your psychosomatic symptoms.

For a list of life's stressful situations that cause psychosomatic dis-ease look at the Rahe-Holmes list.

Some of my favorite excerpts from _THE DIVIDED MIND_ :

marsha,
im definitely not looking for a diagnosis from the forum, just support and thoughts to help me move on... rx's cannot find a cause for my many symptoms- they sent me to a counselor which is very convinced that origin of my troubles is from child issues, ie, ihad a very controlling mom who didnt play or do anything with me except park me in front of tv/babystter. my dad was always working, my mom was very controlling.... so controlling that she glared at me when idrank champagne at my wedding--she hated alcohol and alcoholics...
she was very opinionated.. my symptoms didnt show up until she died at 55 from lupus.. unfortunately i signed her proxy- i ultimately was the one to make the decision on her life-not good
my symptoms started with testicular pain and have just escalated from there bad ibs, pelvic pain, bladder issues migraines with aura, eye floaters--- gluten intolerance- its been 5 years now- i just had blood work it was the best blood work ive ever had- but i feel the worst ive ever felt. very weird
every day i get up its something new
my weight loss i believe is from massive diet change though, i dont eat any refined sugar, dairy, gluten
im my ideal weight right now 166lbs.
i was 210lbs, xmas time

Hi Jaya
See if reducing the fear by any method that is known to work makes a difference . Are you sure you're eating enough under these conditions and that the kind of food is appropriate?
Of course wisdom still applies at any time.
