Tiger withdraws from TPC, citing a neck injury he has had for some time.
Even the world's best athletes are susceptible to psychogenic symptoms, and if Tiger is not the perfect recipe for TMS... |

Funny. I was thinking the same thing all weekend when I first read that! You can be sure they'll find a bulging disc, and go through the usual routine. I was thinking that the conflict he must be experiencing 24/7 between trying to appear the repentent, perfect public image vs. what he really wants to be doing (!) is probably causing non-stop inner tension. I once read (maybe it was in Schubiner's book) that narcissistic and selfish people rarely get TMS. I think his trying to suppress or hide those natural traits is causing him all sorts of physical grief these past few years. All the money in the world, and you're still subject to the human condition. Sarno could have a field day with this one. |

Yeah, I guess it's not really my place diagnose someone elses's problem. Unless they are specifically asking for help. In AA they call it "taking someone else's inventory".
Awe...but what the heck. Sure sounds like TMS/MBS. Thought the same thing about A-Rod when he was having all his personal problems and suddenly had to have hip surgery. |

Thats interesting, maybe because they put themselves first, and don't feel any inner guilt over how they treat other people, can say no easily and don't let people walk all over them.
with his neck pain hurting for awhile I'm surprised he hasn't had an mri already, suspected disc bulge, sounds funny. |

An injury is also a great excuse for why the best golfer in the world has failed miserably in the last two tournaments he entered.
Tiger should have taken a page from Derek Jeter's book and stayed single to take advantage of the opportunities he never had experienced before in his sheltered life. Instead he chose the path his father would have chosen for him, something he has done his entire life.
Perhaps when the divorce is finalized, Tiger will get back to his old self and once again become a dominant golfer. |

Well can you just imagine the stress he must be under, a lot of his own making I guess with the affairs, but how often do we read about people with money and fame overdosing. I personally don't know how someone can live the life in the spotlife all the time, and trying to live to up everyones expectations of them. I try not to judge others, of course sometimes our own expectations can doom us also if were not living up to what we think we should be.
Its great just to be average I think, I mean we have sex, drugs, gambling, and living up to the Jones's expectations now days.
