thought it might help, I'm quoting " when Harriett came to me, she suffered from a condition in which her brain had almost ceased giving directions to her muscles. If any guidance was supplied, it was in the form of fearful anticipations, gloomy misgivings and dismal threats. The brain had retreated from active management of the body. It cowered away in object defeatism, shivered at the thought of giving orders and trembled at the prospect of having to take the initiative and to shoulder responsibility. There were tasks to be finished, decisions to be made and actions to be planned, but the brain, paralyzed by fear, terrified the muscles into helpless inactivity and the inner organs into chaotic functioning. Harriette was tortured by "headaches and nausea nad fatigue and dizzy spells, by weak spells adn palpitations" Her ears ached and her eyes bluerred and her throat choked, and for solid years. The sense of hopelessness in the brain created an attitured of helplessness in the muscles. Action was held in obeyance, life was suspended."
Oh the fear, I think is the hardest to get rid of. Just thought I'd share.

I have read "Mental Health Through Will-Training" by Abraham Low four times. I wish everyone in the world could read it. Of all the books I have read, Dr. Low's work helped me the most. |

I got it from the library, read it twice, I know its always there is I need to reread it as no one takes it out it seems. But it was very good, I felt the pain before anxiety, but sometimes it works just the opposite also. |

This is quite an endorsement shawnsmith. I will make a point to take a look at his work.
Thanks, Peg

I thought it may be a useful book for some.
I'm one that is paralyzed by fear, or feel like that is a huge problem for me, I have so many decisons to make now and can't seem to make any. |
