Sorry folks, I accidentally deleted the topic started by googuy. The new board format is a learning process for me as well

I did manage to save the last post of the thread, my response:

When I had bad TMS low back pain, I went to the gym anyway. I worked out through the pain, in defiance of the pain. In my mind I was saying take that! In the end, the pain was no worse. In fact, after some of those workouts, the pain subsided.

It is very important to resume physical activity as soon as possible. This sends a clear message to your unconscious that you cannot send by thinking alone. Actions speak louder than thoughts when it comes to TMS recovery.

Isn't working through the pain what Fred Amir recommends in his book, that is setting short-term and long-term goals in physical attainment that can measure your progress as the pain becomes less and less and eventually one overcomes the pain. It appears that as this progress is being made physically (in addition to mentally) that the unconscious is receiving a clear, definite message that the pain is being overcome.
