Just a quick query!

If a muscular type pain located in the leg vanishes upon exercising but reappears afterwards is this any indication of a somatic/TMS issue at work. My understanding is that TMS pain is caused by the restriction of blood flow. If exercise increases blood flow and this causes a reduction/abatement of pain would this then point to TMS as the likely culprit.

Any advise please?

I recall telling a (non-TMS) doctor that the pain in my groin area felt better when I did kick exercises (but returned later), and she gave me this look, like "that makes absolutely no sense... obviously your problem isn't caused by whatever I think it is..."

I think TMS can act that way, yes. Mostly though I think you must look at what you're thinking about more than what you are doing. Best wishes. :)
