Hey! I think I know the answer to this but looking for some clarity outside my own anxious mind: I have had 3 kidney stones in the past, and the second two gave me (while they were passing through, which took a week) a sense of constant urinary urgency. That was a year and a half ago. I thought I had a fourth, starting a month ago because I had 15 minutes of intense abdominal pain combined with waking up in the night needing to pee. The next couple days I had what seemed to be the same urgency feeling. However it has now been almost a month, and I had several tests done: CAT scan for kidney stones, urine sample for infection and blood test for prostatitis. All negative. But the sense of discomfort in my bladder (etc) has come and gone throughout the month, with some really unpleasant days and some normal days. Having had other TMS symptoms, it is sensible to think that at this point it is TMS coopting another symptom set, borrowing on my past experience with kidney stones. I have other stones up in the kidney but nothing moving through the system according to the scan. I have made an appt. with a urologist, to rule out anything I should be worried about, but I am afraid that like many doctors he'll work backward from the symptoms instead of giving a clear explanation or evaluation of whether there is anything else to be worried about, other than my negative test results. What do you all think?
