I have just read a book called 'Codependent No More' by Melody Beattie and it is a great read for goodists out there.

Codependence usually describes the enabling that someone does for an alcoholic but it can mean a carer or supporter of ill or difficult family members, a parent of a disabled child or just someone who works or is involved with needy people.

I hope others get as much from it as I did - oh, the good thing is, she describes the solution to too much codependence as simple! - such a relief after all this emotional searching!

Thanks for the recommendation! I have looked through this one at the store. Sounds like it really met your needs. If you haven't looked at the Bradshaw books yet, they seem similar in that they look at family systems.

Recently, I've been reading Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. This is definitely a good fit for "goodists" as it offers encouragement and writing prompts to get you unstuck from old habits of thinking. There's a lot about relationships, money and work.

Thanks, Carbar.

I have found John Bradshaw's books very useful.

Artist's Way sounds something I could gain some useful guidance from, thanks for the recommendation.
