Hi Peoples
Has anyone experienced prostate trouble attributed to TMS?
I am currently working with Sarno on my 20 + years of back pain, and he suggests the prostate stuff is part of TMS.
I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this and maybe coul give me some feedback?
Thanks
Mike

Several of my mind/body books mention that prostate, as well as uterus and ovary issues, can certainly have an emotional cause, or at least emotional component. MANY physical conditions can be mind/body issues--or tms equivalents, whatever you want to call them. (I prefer "mind/body issues") I've learned not to be quick to rule any condition out of that category. Dr. Christiane Northrup discusses emotional causes for fibroids in her books, and she is an MD. So if a fibroid can have an emotional cause. . .

Why not give his program a try and see how it goes?!? There are lots of success stories!

Chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome are TMS. Other related conditions like interstitial cystitis and bladder neck dysfunction also appear to be TMS. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer are NOT TMS. Good luck!

Best,

I hope you have had your prostate problem diagnosed by a urologist.
Always check with a physician first. Don't assume anything.

I agree...if you have had a medical checkup and they find that your prostate is fine, then you might assume it's TMS.

Women who have pelvic problems need to do a similar medical workup first as well!

I have chronic prostatis also a/k/a TMS. I also have back pain. I am currently seein Dr. sarno.
I have had some trouble getting these pains to go away, but I know its TMS. Yesterday, I was feeling great until a good friend called to tell me he had been laid off. well, I tossed and turned all night and now, my pelvic pain is back. Text book example
