In Sarno's books he says that tms only affects postural muscles. I have got muscle tightness in my left lower back/glute/hip (classic tms areas) but I also have tight quads and hamstrings, which as far as I know arent't postural ones.
Has anyone else has muscle tension in non-postural muscles which they have attributed to TMS?

There are many here whose main area of complaint is the wrist/hand region, so postural muscles are probably not involved, but anatomically speaking, the problem in the hands can come from nerves that branch out from the neck in the brachial plexus.

That point about postural muscles being the only ones affected was made in HBP, but was not part of the subsequent books. Since then Sarno has rewritten his theory twice and renamed his acronym because he now believes that nerves that feed the muscles, tendons, and ligaments are the primary tissue affected. Your confusion is understandable. You might try calling his office to check.

In my experience, TMS can affect any muscle group in the body.

In his latest book, The Divided Mind, he says that TMS can affect any muscle. But admitting, it affects the nerves also that innervate these muscles.

I think TMS can not only affect any muscle in the body but any organ, tissue or system.

When the autonomic system is in overdrive, chemicals are released that constrict blood vessels, potentially all over the body. The blood flows to all muscles, nerve, tendons, ligaments, tissues, organs, etc

This is how the bowels can be affected in irritable bowel syndrome. The nerves can be affected in Carpal tunnel syndrome. The immune system can be affected and be the cause of frequent infections (reduced effectiveness of immune system), as well as autoimmune conditions (increased activity of the immune system). Something simpler as when hands and feet are cold due to reduced blood flow.

People on this forum have discussed a multitude of symptoms, demonstrating that anything can be affected. Skin issues, allergies, tinnitus, vertigo, just to name a few.
