Check it out:

www.hypnoshop.com

does it seem like it would work? Could it be useful with TMS?

Thanks.

John, I have been following a your postings although I have not said much until now. I feel that you are still searching for the magic cure when there really isn't a magic cure other than finding what works for you and giving your whole self to it. One can drive oneself crazy going round and round trying to find the "answer" when really the answer is right in front of you. You will get better and even improve when you commit to something. It is hard to find that "something", but until you do you will continue to question, wonder, and feel bad. You are on this forum for a reason. Do you believe in Dr. Sarno's theories or not? It is not enough to constantly seek reasurance. Until you believe totally in whatever therapy or ideas you are seeking, nothing is going to work. If that is hard to find then you must start believing in yourself, believing that feeling better is totally possible, believing that the answers will come. It takes awhile to find them, I agree. And I do believe that at your age seeking is part of life. But, you have been on this forum for a long time now and you still are not ready or able to accept what many have told you. I get it, I really do, but sometimes John it is very important to find it within ourselves and to stop looking for answers elsewhere. Really and truly, the answer lies within yourself. You know that. Dig down deep and find it and then you will no longer need to wonder or seek the reassurance from others.

Always thinking of you,

Dor

Thanks Dor,

I appreciate your post but I'm not really searching for the magic cure anymore. I only asked if this was helpful to see if it could compliment Sarno's approach...to add to it. I don't want self-hypnosis to solve my TMS, I want it to aid in the therapy process. I have changed a lot in the past month. I have devoted myself completely to Sarno's program. I have forced negative thoughts out of my head and replaced them with positive ones. I have stopped complaining. I have stopped feeling sorry for myself. I have even started helping others with TMS problems via email. And as a result, I see a big improvements both physically and mentally. I am not completely cured, I still have my very "down" times, but I definately feel on my way.

John,

I think, yes. It could be helpful as an adjunct, if it works for you and if you're into it.

Sarno says focus on the psychological. Get there, and then add whatever you like: Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Marianne Williamson, Pema Chodron, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, a hypotist, a hypnotherpist, a psychotherapist, a tape of yourself delivering positive affirmations (which I love and is thanks to our friend, WebDan). ALL of these have the same mission: change your thinking. Switch from obsessions and distractions to positive affirmations (and this is not necessarily the "positive thinking" that we all tend to roll our eyes about) and love and forgiveness and living your life in the present. I think it's safe to explore what works for you on your journey. The bottom-line premise is to move away from your symptoms into your psychological and emotional life, without flying too high into clouds and without allowing confusion to cloud your world.

So glad you are doing so much better John. Bravo to you and all of your hard work. I hope my post wasn't insulting to you for I certainly didn't mean it to be as I have followed you for quite some time now and have greatly cared. Please know that it was sent with the best of intentions. Good luck on your journey.

I know that your post was for good intentions Dor. I've only made it to where I am because you helped and cared for me so much when I was struggling. I sincerely thank you for that.
