I'd try a smaller task and keep going, if I were you. That lets your mind know that you are not going to be discouraged, without making you repeat what happened.
The main thing is not to give in to fear, more than what you choose to do afterward. Recognize this as a part of the TMS recovery process with thoughts like "Gee, I went a bit overboard and reactivated my conditioning. Too bad. Guess I need to try things a little slower," rather than "Oh my gosh! Pain! Something's really wrong with me!"
Do what feels right to you. It took a while to get like this. If it takes you a while to defeat the conditinoning and get back to full capability, that's not entirely surprising, and still at the end you will be fully well.
