Hi there...
I joined this week and thought I would share a little about myself and say hi...
I am not sure which has taught me more...
being a client in psychotherapy for over 3,000 sessions...
practicing for 30 years as a spiritually oriented psychotherapist
with a professional background in natural medicine
and spiritual healing...
spending thousands of intimate hours
with remarkable beings form India and Tibet...
or “sitting at the feet” of my physical challenges
and letting them teach me about me, life...
and the infinite possibilities that are always available
within each moment even if I don’t always see them.
In 1989, Ammachi, the hugging saint from India
urged me to marry a woman
who I had recently fallen in love with
and had brought to meet her.
I was a little hesitant because this delightful woman
had just spent the last 4 years living on the floor
due to extremely severe fibromyalgia.
But... I had learned early in my life
that when an authentic saint suggests something,
it’s often a very good direction to go.
Now, after 19 years of living
with someone who has constantly tried to interface
with relentless pain in countless radical ways...
combined with my eagerness to learn
from the myriad of physical challenges
that have occurred within my own body/mind....
I can say that I truly am delighted to have found this forum
and I look forward to learning from all of you.
