So, I posted a few weeks ago how I had back pain when back pain was never my original symptom.
So tms has been playing tricks on me, for the better part of this year I have been pain free and great.
But I must say after I had this recent bout of back pain, I noticed a lump under my right armpit.
I went to my Doctor who is an oncologist and he told me that its something called "Hydridenitis" "inflammed sweat gland".
He said antibiotics will clear it up but if it doesnt he will have to cut it out.
The antibiotic made it much smaller but he did end up having to cut it out.
So a week into my recovery from this minor operation in his office I notice my back pain went away but now there were 2 more lumps in that same area!!!
I went back to him that same day and he confirmed it was the same thing as before and that I would need a longer course of antibiotics and he might have to cut these out as well.
Naturally I thought it was wierd that I got the bumps out of nowhere the same day my horrible back pain went away.
I called Sarno on a friday but he didnt get back to me until Monday.
I told him about the condition and he said he never heard of it but after describing to him what it was he said "Its a tms equivilant"
I was so happy to hear this but I must say this condition is geting to my head where I think about it alot.
I think I sooner beleived the pain syndrome as tms rather then a skin condition.
Its wierd does anybody have any words of advice on how to think about this or maybe change my thought process?

icelikeaninja,

dr. sarno is right, the lumps under your right armpit are tms. I had exactly the same thing occurring to me before two very stressful job interviews. I didn't take any antibiotics, and the lumps just went away after the stress was over. My explanation for the sudden emergence of these lumps: In anticipation of the job interviews my low self-esteem was in a state of high alert, so much so that I could not ignore it and felt as if I was on a mental descent to hell; in order to distract myself from this huge mental pain, I needed something new and even more alarming, so how about weird lumps under my right armpit? To cut it short: don't worry too much about it, think psychologically!

Take care
