found this and found it interesting:

"See yourself as a fearful person and accept it. Don’t act strong for the sake of others around you. By accepting your fear as a normal part of the human condition, you are de-mystifying it and removing its power over you. Hope this helps." Sensei

could you elaborate more? Do you think you'll have less fear by doing this?
Some on the board say "accept the pain" and stuff like that, but the Sarno says TMS must be confronted, fought.

then again he says accept TMS as a universal condition thats normal, OK, just give me your take, my head is spinnin.

Personally, I feel that anger, fear, anxiety, emotional sensitivity, dependency and insecurity are all inter-related core problems which are universal to a lesser or greater degree in our species. They are inherently...HUMAN characteristics. Each of us might display one or more of these as our particular emotional weak point. In the case of fear, I am not the first to recognize or point out that fearful people generally act the opposite, which in turn, makes the fear much worse. By acknowledging a fearful nature and accepting it, you are eliminating its power over you and your programmed behaviors. This same thought can be applied to anger, or any of the other emotional consequences of repression. – Sensei

thanx, accepting the fear is tough to do. I'm used to fighting it off. Accepting it seems to make it worse. Perhaps I'm still not getting it.

I have to agree with skiz, here.

I feel that we have two people living inside of us. Our higher self, which is confident, joyful, loving and peacful, and the other self, which is fearful and pessimistic.

I think which ever one we feed grows.

I'm not saying I repress fear. I guess I really believe in "Do what you fear, and fear disappears."
