I will be sigining off from this message board for awhile. With the loss of Tennis Tom from the board, hardcore Sarno purists are becoming scarce here so I will not be much help here.

Best wishes.

Sarno-ize it!
Read chapter 4 of Dr. Sarno's "The Divided Mind." It's all you need to know in order to recover.

Well I for one will miss your words of wisdom concerning this topic.
Its good to have people that have been practicing Sarno's principles for awhile.

Good luck Shawn. I didn't always agree with you, but you were a lively participant that's for sure...

Perhaps we'll see you soon....

Hi Shawn,
I don't come here often anymore but I do check in periodically. Despite his knowledge of TMS, I can't say I miss TT's overriding childishness, although I doubt that he's gone for good. I will, however, miss your dedication and words of wisdom. Best of luck to you.

I see your point. I have to stay away at times cause people sometimes only want to talk about symptoms. If you going to do this, it's time to start talking about the emotions, and what is going on insie. We should be encouraging one another, and helping with introspection. I think everyone on here should read Healing The Shame That Binds You. I think that shame feeds the feeling of inadaquecy, which seems to be common for everyone with TMS. Just thinking psychological did not do it for me, I had to get to the root. I was probably one that should have done pschotherapy, but that book, pretty much gave me all the insight that I needed. I'lmost pain free and feel better than I have in 5 years. Treat the root, and not the symptom.

People come here all the time looking for support and encouragement and it seems a shame that people with a lot of experience/knowledge of TMS are deciding not to post anymore. I respect people's decisions, but I just find it sad. It seems as though the forum is really dying at the moment...not much going on.

I really hope things improve around here, especially for the sake of new people who are looking for that initial support.

How many times can people say the same message over and over again? I'ts a simple concept, and yet people like me need re-assurance over and over. So I see why shawn is so aggravated. Good luck shawn, thanx for your posts in my threads.

Yea, after a while it does wear you down and you have to take a forum break and re-charge.

When most members get tapped out, they just silently disappear for a while. I'm not sure why an announcement like "I'm leaving" helps people deal with it.

Yes, I agree lots of people come here for support, but the original concept for the forum was to debate the concepts and have in depth discussion. A lot of the early posts were like that, more like a series of monologs by the poster and the replies as well. Check them out, some of them are very interesting.

Here's a recent thread with some good monologing by bert and stanfr and others... http://www.tmshelp.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3557
