I wante dto do a different kind of thread. There are some songs that I listen to that actually, kind of have a TMS message to them. Let Go by Red, realy helps me say I'm beating you TMS. Anyone else take a song, and apply it to TMS. I'm a big fan of music, so I wanted to start a TMS song thread.

Some good songs on your list. I love hard rock, and in the song Let Go by Red,you kind of yells You can't have me anymore, and that's what I scream at TMS. I also like Forfeit by Chevelle, cause he says, I want to fight, I want to fight, so you better forfeit. It gets me pumped, like my repressed anger starts to seep out.

Another one that's really good to yell along with is Billy Joel's "Pressure".

Any good rock that helps you get pumped and extroverting is good for expressing emotions instead of keeping them inside.

Take care, -Stryder

I just came from therapy and listened to this song for the millionth time and heard it in a very different way. "I need you" by the Eurythmics off their Savage album. Here are the lyrics ... amazing!!!!! OMG!!!!

I need you to pin me down
Just for one frosen moment.
I need someone to pin me down
So I can live in torment.
I need you to really feel
The twist of my back breaking
I need someone to listen
To the ecstacy Im faking.
I need you you you

I need you to catch each breath
That issues from my lips
I need someone to crack my skull
I need someone to kiss.
So hold me now
And make pretend
That I wont ever fall
Oh hold me down
Im gonna be your baby doll

I need you you you...
Is it you I really need?
I do I do I do
I really do
I need you...

Penny,
Your list of songs has a lot of songs that are part of Bodyflow or BodyBalance tracks. Are you familiar with the Les Mills fitness programs. It's a combination of yoga, pilates, tai chi, and chi qong. The music is usually very positive and inspiring along with the great benefits of those types of excercise. I haven't done it in a long time because I quit my gym membership. I collected a lot of the music I like from it on itunes and made playlists to match the routines. Now if I could just remember the tai chi sequences!

I agree those are good positive songs. Music has always been a huge part of my spiritual and healing life.

Sometimes, oddly, when I'm depressed or feeling down a good dose of Cracker or Social Distortion puts me right!!

Cheers!

Penny, good song lyrics.

Red Let Go Lyrics

Hey you, look what you do to me
You bend and you bruise me
Why you try to control me?
But you don't know me
How come you just want to hurt me?
How come you just want to push me?
I can't ignore you anymore
Cause everywhere I turn you
You burn me, you break me
You always want to take me down with you
What do you want from me?

I don't wanna be afraid, I don't wanna run away
I don't want to be evaded it's more that I can take
I'm never gonna be the same
I threw it all away
I don't want to be evaded
Just let go! (look what you do to me)
Let go! (look what you do to me)

Hey you, look what you do to me
You burnt and you scared me
With all that you tell me (but I don't listen!)
You love me, you hate me
You always want to take me down with you
What do you want from me?

I don't wanna be afraid I don't wanna run away
I don't want to be evaded it's more that I can take
I'm never gonna be the same
I threw it all away
I don't want to be evaded
Just let

You kept pushing me
You keep using me
You keep twisting me
You keep breaking me
You can't have me anymore [x3]
You can't have me, let go!

I don't wanna be afraid, I don't wanna run away
I don't want to be evaded it's more that I can take

I'm never gonna be the same
I threw it all away
I don't want to be evaded
Just let go! Let go! Just let go!
I don't wanna be afraid
Let go! (I don't wanna run away!)
Just let go! Let go! Let go!
