| I started therapy last week. The therapist is not familiar with TMS principles but hopefully it will help. Ive been doing some huge self-analyzing. I went back and dragged out a 600 page journal i kept 20+ years ago, and am reading through it. At first, it shocked me to see how horribly disturbed i was at that time, it's pretty clear ive supressed a huge amount of anger/guilt/emotional pain. So now i am 110% convinced my latest problems are psychosomatic--unfortunately that doesn't seem to be a quick solution! When i had TMS 10+ yrs ago, i couldn't understand why the ego would create such agony when i would much rather have dealt with the underlying emotions. Now, i think i understand: in my case it's not just simple anger or self-esteem, its really vile stuff in my ID, stuff i can't even think of on a concious level because it's too repulsive. Now, the question is, what do i do witht his knowlege? DO i try to release all this supressed rage etc, or just try to understand it? I felt a little better today, after several days of torture, so hopefully im on the right path. |
