Jane,

I took the liberty of moving this from "Help and Suggestions" where it has been languishing since the 10th. I hope you don't mind--just the compulsive TMS "goodist" in me. Many new posters get confused and make their initial post there, I recall I did too.

Hi gang,
I was reading about Brit w/ TMS and how her sx. have been off and on and have not cleared yet although she has been doing the TMS protocol for 5 mnths now.

I have been doing the protocol for about a month and a half and I am dismayed that the pain is not better. In fact when I got the TMS diagnosis I was going through a pain-free period but after the diagnosis I had several days of intense anxiety and then the pain shot WAY up!

HOW COMMON IS THIS AND WHAT TO DO?? I am glad for the diagnosis but it is also tough to take and I am tired of PAIN. I don't want to get discouraged but when will this let up? Interestingly, the pain I have now is the least "sophisticated" of all of the fibromyalgia equivalents that I am capable of getting (e.g.,IBS/interstitial cystitis) but don't know what that means.

I guess my UCS. mind is trying to fight a psychological diagnosis and get me to continue my 20 some year search for a physical cause.

Your stories/advice are most welcome. I am getting worn down. Is it possible that even though my conscious mind "gets it" and wants to do the work to get better, the ucs. mind wants to get me off the scent?

Thanks,
Jane
