My friend has had many symptoms of TMS Back pain, plantar fascitis. jaw pain, muscle strains etc. she has many of the characterisiticsof a person sufering with TMS. right now she has a mother in a nursing home milse away from her and she has much guilt that she is there. her latest episode is her knee swells up occasionally. she went ot an orthopedist and he is sending her for a MRI to see if there are tears. she had surgery on this knee 8 years ago. do you think this knee problem could be TMS. i know if the doctor says surgery she will go.

An MRI can often lead to a diagnosis of a torn meniscus when in fact it is benign scar tissue, or normal wear and tear that does not cause pain.
