I have shunned painkillers in accordance with orthodox Sarno, but have now decided taking an OTC pill to dull the pain when I need to get work done is a good idea.
Until recently, I did not have any relief from TMS pain (lower back, butt, leg) using painkillers. Motrin seems to do the trick now.
Do you manage your pain with painkillers? If so, what's your experience? |

How long have you worked on your TMS with Dr. Sarno’s method? It takes time and it's not magic. You have to really believe in it to have any results. Taking pills is affecting your results in my opinion but you have to do what you have to do to survive. My suggestion is to read Sarno’s books very consciously, not like cheap novel. Think how his words apply to your situation. Agata |

I agree with Agata. If one remains on any kind of pain medication, then how are you going to know if Sarno's method is working for you. I had the real bad burning, no drug or anti-inflammitory did not work. Plust I don't like to take medication, sometimes I believe they just make one worse. Sarno does not believe I should not take pain medication, he even prescribes it for some of his patients. But do not become reliant on them. |
