hello guys,
i have ben in the forun for a bit 3 yrs ago for pelvic pain that was daily and showed up after new (first ) marriage and huge changes. after working with TMS the pain left and I was able to become a yoga trainee with a strong guru. after 2 yrs with her she told me I can begin teaching and I was so happy and took it as a compliment. at the same time i had financial problems due to my husband's long training as a doctor and also marital issues about kids. so, i thought i'll strat teaching and put all the other issues aside and my wrists, fingers and forearm began to hust and burn, switching places and sided. I forgot about TMS for a few weeks but then I realized that the emotional reaction i have to the pain is much like I had in th epast. anyways, i think i am very angty with my husband for his career but logicaly it does not make sense since he is a kind person and also is successful in what he does and tries to buolt a strong financial future for us. i am tired with his 80 hr week load and wonder if his lack of support and availibility could make me angry and therefore have pain. also, there is no time to be angry with him since he is not home. I guess it is prety clear to me it is TMS but I need support through this so I don't slip into old structural thoughts.
BTW many yoga posturs use wrist and maybe i am also afraid i am not the best yogi and so not a good teacher and so i should give it up(which will be sad since it seems people enjoy my teaching and i love it).

One last thing, it could be that we will need to move for husband's sub specialty, another stress.

thank you guys for ny suportive , affirmative words.

I am going through the burning/clicking wrist myself right now. I got good relief last year from this and now I'm going through some stress at work and my wrist/thumb is acting up again. I have a red mark on my wrist from the irritation of it all. It's really painful. If you find any help here please let me know. I posted on this a few days ago because lots of people have RSI on on here. Mine is not masked RSI type of TMS it's strictly a benign clicking and pain that is not brought on by any activity, just sleeping at night, which tells me it's the subconcius going amuck on me. I share your frustration and am doing all I know to get rid of it but I am also stuck. Mary

Joli,
I haven't seen too many other women on here who had pelvic pain as their primary symptom- that was my primary one as well. I'd be curious to hear your story. Are you completely cured of the pelvic pain? Mine was always present and disabling but it only pops up very occassionally now and just for a day or two but I do still suffer from other forms of TMS that come and go. My wrist was actually another problem area for me. Before I knew about TMS, I thought it was left over from a car accident where I had actually hurt my wrist. I also do Yoga and would wear a brace or do postures on my knuckles on that side. There's no doubt in my mind that my wrist pain was TMS.

sorry for emailig you you own post...
anyways, the pelvic pain was crazy and ittook a long time to work on and eventually ignore or laugh at. I had it come back here and there abut it does not affect me emptionally and I am so active that I forgrt about it. my wrist staeted to husrt also after an acidend and i assume it is a left over. them with all the postures I stated to have wrist pain again , at the same time that my mentor told me I can begin teaching...then my thumb hurt and I taped myself and then my other hamd strated to hurt as well. my husband says tms , and I of all people doubt it, probabaly b/c i'm afraid it is not tms.
i had not much pain today and i dread the next pain attack.
i love yoga and pilates and i feel so threatned by the pain and what it means.

thanks for sharing.
it is so annoying. what's more is that people tell you "you should rest your wrist", "don't over do thi and that? and it is hard to ignore. i guess there is many times a "stuck period" before you are willing or able to throw the fear out the window and be in complete peace about tms and deal with what ever it is. i am stuck now and resistnt to tms out of fear to let go in case i miss something.
in a way it is a lack of trust. i hope ou will get throughthe stuck face, i have to tell you that Sarno is so simply right it is hard to believe.
