GO PETER!!! CONGRATULATIONS! It was probably painful because of all the anticipation and fear - however you did it! The gremlin did not win. The key now is to take baby steps and keep turning your thoughts to emotional. What are you really afraid of in your life? The pain is a distraction. It took me almost 2 years to retrain my brain. I kept on switching to emotional things and laughing/mocking the pain - pretty much ignoring it has been the most successful approach S.
I felt exactly the same after my trip to japan ... The only thing I can say about it is I would 100% bet it will change the picture you have of yourself in regards of your TMS. You will feel empowered because nothing will stop you now.
Advice sought - ok, I took the trip!!!!!!!!!!
