Hello, I have had TMS for some years now and it comes and goes but right now I have it really bad in my right shoulder, neck and right arm. I just wondered if anyone else experienced Raynaud's Syndrome with their TMS? Raynaud's Syndrome is a condition where the ciruclation to your extremities (hands and feet) is restricted and your hands or feet get extremely cold and numb. I get this all the time. I don't know whether it is a side feature of TMS or whether the syndrome aggravates TMS? Perhaps someone can give me some advice as my hands go almost blue they get so cold (even if I am at home in a warm room) .

I have self diagnosed Raynaud's Phenomenon , at least I think it's called that. I guess it doesn't matter if it's a syndrome or phenomenon ! My hands overreact to cold or stress situations at times , but my feet don't seem to. My fingers will actually turn white and become quite numb, and I usually relieve them by running warm water over them. It is not unusual , I hear it all the time when I shake hands with someone , " Boy ! Your hands sure are cold ! I have had it for as long as I can remember.

Hi there,

This is my only TMS symptom! I've had headaches, back problems, RSI, urinary problems over the years etc but this is the only one I've still got. I'm 100% sure that it is TMS, it comes and goes at particular times as a conditioned response to things. I think the reason I've got it in my hands is because I'm a pianist and when I play my hands become cold to the degree where it actually becomes difficult to play, although now it has spread to general stressful situations. I am uncovering quite a lot of issues to do with anger that I think may have come from a childhood where I needed to do well musically to make my parents proud etc. I have recently made the decision to try and make a career in music and it is affecting me a lot. There is this undercurrent of 'i've got to be the best' and putting myself under huge pressure to succeed - the cold hands are really not a surprise when I think about all the emotional aspects that go with that.
