I have Sarno's audio CD of Healing Back Pain. In terms of getting better, can listening to this CD be as effective as reading his book(s)?
Thanks. |

Well, it all depends. I guess I mostly think of pwople being in a car listening to the cd. if that is the case, then IMO it's good to read the book. When your reading the book, when you read something that is about yourself, it's good to reflect on that passage. You can also underline, highlight whatever. If your listening to the cd, you cannot do that. Well I guess you could pause the cd. Also while reading, you can also take time time to journal if a ppoint hits home. But the cd can be effective also. You can hear Sarno read his work. You may get the feeling that you are on an appointment with him, and that could be great value to you. Also, with the cd, if you want to take a trip, then have the cd may help you overcome the fear. I know I hated to drive for long periods of time, and listening to the cd actually gave me some hope that I would not always have the pain. |

I think that listening to the CD repeatedly can be very effective. Listen to it over and over again while riding in the car and the words really sink into your brain so that you can eventually quote many of Sarno's most important passages/concepts and therefore easily bring these concepts into mind/into action as needed. Also, as mentioned, hearing his calm, authoritative voice helps with the "belief" factor. |

He does have a nice reading voice, so you might find that soothing, but he does not say anything different on the CD than he does in the book. |

Hi truenorth; Where can I buy that CD, is it on the web or through a book store? Bonnie |

Thanks Peter, I'm having one of those days when my brain isn't connecting the dots. The possibility of it being 'Amazon' was lurking around in my brain but darned if I could dredge up the actual name. Bonnie |
