For over a year in a progressive way I am suffering from a mild to anoying right leg pain. Need more than listen to my doctor: "Your Xray came out perfect and your US/DVT was normal. The MRI has no severe damage to the nerve to be the cause of it........bla,blabla" Then.... what can be this pain if my own doctor can not suggest a proper exam or a proper intervention. I am lost. I am the one suggesting the type of exams to follow, the last one is a cat scan, which might not take place for another 2 weeks. I feel begging for the next step. No experience to come afloat for my doctor to suggest that it could be TMS. By the way, what is TMS exactly? Now the pain comes not just in the leg, but stays in my hill (bottom area) where it is hard to stay up or walk without feeling pain. Even when I am sleeping it doesn't go away. the hill feels like I have needles, swollen, throbbing, etc.
I am thinking of the big "C" and it is tormenting.
Any feed back from someone who has been in my shoes?
thanks,

Get and read "The Mindbody Prescription" and/or "Healing Back Pain" by Dr. John Sarno.

Since your doctors have ruled out a structural cause for the pain it is highly likely you have TMS.

In short, it means the pain is psychogenic, that is, manufactured by your brain to serve as a distraction from psychological issues.

That is not to say the pain is "imagined" or "in your head." The pain is real. It is just not based on any physical cause. The cause is emotional.

Read the book(s). It will have all the answers you are looking for.
