Just found this forum and i'm glad it exists. i'm a musician in Seattle with some pretty disheartening wrist and hand pain going on 5 years now. Since March, i've been seeing things in a whole new light after reading Healing Back Pain by Dr. Sarno, but i'd like to talk with a doctor in person about TMS treatment.

Anybody know of some "pro-Sarno" doctors in Seattle? Anybody in this forum live in Seattle?

I spoke briefly on the phone to Mary Candelaria in Everett, Washington. She is a psycchologist, with lots of tms experience. She was very helpful, and suggested phone therapy with Don Dubin, as I live in Canada, where unfortunately there are no tms physicians, or counsellors. Her ph # is 425-347-7275, ext #12. My short talk with her convinced me that phone therapy could work, and it did! I was much better after 4 sessions with Don.

alright. thanks so much. i've never heard of Don Dubin, but you're recommendation sounds like he's a good guy to talk to. How's your recovery been going?

I am doing well, I still have the odd flare up, but not debilitating pain like I used to get. Mary Candelaria may know of a tms doctor in Seattle, and Don Dubin's #is 323-651-4390. Therapy can be expensive,
so you may want to try to see a tms doctor first, if you can find one.

yeah, it's been hard to find any doctors on the net in Seattle who treat TMS, and i want to get a medical opinion first and foremost. It's been incredible how just reading Sarno's book (and before reading it) how i've been able to see the mind's power over my physical state, both positively and negatively. But it hasn't been until finding out about TMS that i realized just how far we can go to combat the aches and pains a lot of people think they just have to live with.

By the way, i've played a couple shows in both Victoria and Whistler, B.C. in the past month, and i got to say you've got a beautiful country.

i'm leaving town for a while, but when i get back i'll one or both of your recommendations a call to get this ball rolling. Thanks again!
