This guy's approach illustrates how important activity and exercise can be when done with the correct intention and for the right reasons. When done for the right reasons, exercise can reinforce TMS principles and remove TMS recurrences/replacements. Years ago on this board I got into arguments with people about what little Sarno has said about exercise or stretching before exercise. This has lead people to underestimate it's potential importance in implementing Sarno's original techniques.
People have taken what Sarno said about Physical therapy and exercise to mean that we don't "need" to do it. What he said about exercising is that it is necessary to be generally healthy and look good. This has been largely ignored by the TMS community. Perhaps the man himself underestimated the importance of it. In any case what Sarno meant was "don't exercise to reduce TMS pain", especially if you are still in the early TMS treatment stages That's the key.
