I am curious since TMS is the brain depriving muscle or an area of oxygen, has any one tried taking oxygen from a tank and seeing if it helps? I know this is not recommended as a way to deal with TMS. I am having a hard time, as i have severe neck pain at times, migraine and vertigo. Meds help intermittently, but I thought if I could get some O2 it would help.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks,

JJC

I have an acquaintance who owns a hyperbaric facility, and I've thought of trying out the hyperbaric chamber experience--on further TMS reflection, I decided that I'd rather spend the time playing tennis, that it would be more fun and likely send more o2 to my arthritic hip. If you peruse my BIO here, I've experimented with about every "sure cure" from A to Z, including : alopathic medical, complementary medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, ayeurvedia, and voo-doo. A hyperbaric chamber would probably be a life saver, if you're a scuba diver and get the bends.

But--if what you have is TMS, and if the "white-coats" can't find anything wrong with you to structurally hang their DX on, then the best thing you can do is lock yourself up on a couch with a TMS book until the TMS KNOWLEDGE PENICILLIN sinks into your sub-c. Any relief you would get by treating the TMS distractive symptom, rather then the underlying psychological rage producing TMS emotional cause(s) : (LIFE), would be short-lived.

If it's TMS, then in my opinion, a hyperbaric chamber treatment may temporarily increase the o2 flow to your body part, but it would likely be short lived. If it affected a "cure", without dealing with the underlying emotional causes of the sub-c rage, then the "symptom imperative", would create a new TMS symptom as a distraction.

Treating TMS by only treating the anatomical symptoms, and not the root emotional cause(s), is like playing a game of whack-a-mole with your sub-conscious. As soon as you rid yourself of one symptom, a new TMS symptom distractor will pop up, and you're back inside the circle of pain--your sub-C wins. You need to take CONSCIOUS control of your mindbody health, not allowing your sub-C to be swayed by the collective meme.

If understanding TMS theory through reading and studying the many A-V materials available through purchase and over the internet is not working for you, then consult with a TMS physician or practitioner for help to get you on the right track. Any treatments that focus on the physical will last only as long as you get back to the parking lot and into traffic. Might as well eat an ice cream cone or drink a glass of wine to make you feel better, it'll be a lot cheaper.
