First of all nice to meet you all.
Been fighting TMS for a good year now, maybe a bit longer. I seem to have done fairly good. First time i read the book the symptoms went away completely, they did come back a few months later but by keeping my resolve i was able to get rid of them again. I honestly thought i was rid of it, and could move on with my life.

Throughout that time there were many stressful moments, some pretty big personal issues with my mother(life threatening disease), school, a new girl in my life(even though that is going fairly well) and next week a motorcycle trip that my parents signed me up for, which i don't exactly feel i'm ready for.

In any case the pain started to come back yesterday, and i resumed my normal activities, i tried to do everything by the book once more. So far no succes... and i'm currently in a bit of a bind since i lend the book to a friend who went on a holiday with it, so i'm stuck without =_=... looking on the internet i was able to find this place, and was hoping to get some needed aid here.

I though i was rid of this junk, why are these pains coming back once again?! (Hands, wrists, i was diagnosed with RSI back then) I know RSI ain't the real cause of course, i tried to get to the bottom of my emotions once more with little succes... DO i have to keep fighting this all my frigging life? I can't use this ****, i got much more to live for...i don't want to get hold back by this each time...

I'm hoping to hear from someone soon,

Is there ever a convenient time to be in agony? That thought is actually part of the system that is causing your pain.A better statement might be "What am I doing that is more important than my emotional well being?"

TMS doesn't pick when it occurs,WE do..it's a combination of our personality make-ups and the external happenings in our life...

Woa man that's like the best summary i've ever heard about it. This one is coming right out of the printer, and i'll frame it above my bed if i have too o.o;

Thanks a lot. Just woke up really, pain seems to have resided quite a bit already, but this will help me much.

I hope so... I got way too much to do to let this get in my way -_- bah what a moment to strike back at me. I don't have my book anywhere around, and just when things get stressful, BAM is strikes me. -_-

And what better to keep you from going than a some good old fashioned PAIN!??

If someone else made plans for me ,I'd be in a rage.It osunds like it's definitely time for you to do a review..anytime symptoms come back,it's generally a sign that you've gotten 'backed up' on your rage/anger issues,so to speak.Sarno says that when an attack comes seemingly out of nowhere,the immediate Family is a good place to start looking.

Every single one of us who has recovered has had set-backs and relapses...you just pick up the tool kit and fix it the same way you did before,hopefully getting a little more intuitive each time you go through the process

You'll beat this just like you did last time..it is frustrating,but the good guys always win
