I have been spending a ton of money on all the TMS books and I'm going broke. I called my local Barnes and Noble to get the Sopher book but it's "print on demand" meaning not in stock. Can anyone who has the Sopher book just tell me what Sopher specifically says about wrist TMS syndromes, specifically if he mentions DeQuervain's tendonitis, or wrist tendonitis? It's not carpal, that is not what's going on with me. I appreciate any help. You can email me privately or post it here. I just need the basics of what he says about it.

I agree with the others about ignoring whatever medical term the doctors throw at you.
I have also checked that you can download Sophers book from the internet for $4.95. If you buy the book it will cost you $14.95. You'll need to have lots of A4 size paper ready for the download but then you could used recycled paper too.

You can save a ton of money buying used books. Go to this website and do a search for whatever you want:
http://www.usedbooksearch.co.uk/
They're all reputable book dealers, with an inventory of 55 million used books worldwide. I've never been disappointed. There are copies of Sopher's book for around $15. |

I'm not sure spending a ton of money on TMS books will get rid of TMS. Sarno's book has all the information needed to learn how to tackle TMS although I know others here find it useful to reinforce the message with other TMS authors. Try not to get into the specifics of the symptoms, it all boils down to the same thing, whether it be back, wrists, face pain, tennis elbow - ignore that part and get stuck into the psychological cause, then you will find relief. Don't be fooled by TMS!

i just got over a brief bout of wrist pain. it's a just another lie perpetrated by your brain. as soon as i saw the rediculousness of being able playing an hour of sqaush with no pain, then having intense pain while driving, the ploy failed and the pain went away. don't by into it. it's a load 'o TMS dung.

Sopher doesn't mention DeQuervain's specifically, but that shouldn't bother you. As Dave said when you mentioned this before - it's time to let go of the physical explanations. There seem to be all sorts of different diagnoses for different types of RSI, DeQ's being one of them, and I've only ever come across one long-term cure for all of them - Sarno's MindBody approach.
